Alex developed his love of data science as a child from hours of dice rolling in D&D (probability) and memorizing the backs of baseball cards (statistics), and a love of teaching while a graduate instructor. At Dataiku, he manages a nimble team of data science storytellers and content creators that supports the new Dataiku Academy. Prior to Dataiku, Alex built documentation and samples of worked examples for various SPSS and IBM products. Alex holds a bachelors in mathematics from Princeton University and a masters (ABD) in statistics and decision sciences from Duke University. Alex also serves as Dataiku’s Campus Ambassador to Princeton and Duke.
As a technical writer at Dataiku, Mopé's responsibilities include creating reference documentation and developing courses for the Dataiku Academy. An experienced technical communicator, Mopé has worked in the data science software and education fields and has honed her core skills in technical writing and instruction at MathWorks and the General Assembly. She obtained a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering focused on machine learning from Purdue University and has authored numerous online technical publications. Mopé is also the Vice President and Co-founder of the Joule Foundation, which supports young women on the African continent in pursuing STEM education.
