Remote Work in Data Science - Best Practices Exchange & Pitfalls

Online Events
Wed, May 6, 11:00 AM (EDT)

About this event

Let’s open up the conversation to share experiences, best practices and common pitfalls of work remotely in data science!

Following the Lean Coffee™ methodology, this open discussion is designed to bring about enriching perspectives from how you and fellow data practitioners navigate these times - and build upon collective learnings.

Lean Coffee™ events consist in structured discussions, following an agenda that is democratically generated at the beginning of the session. Participants suggest topics they’d like to discuss, in relation with the event’s theme, on which everyone gets to vote. The most upvoted will be discussed first within a limited time frame and, when time is over, all can vote to extend the conversation or switch to the next topic.

The discussion will be facilitated by Tom Brown, who is a group facilitator and scrum master. Tom works in data science in the cultural non-profit sector with organizations in the NYC area such as Liberty Science Center as Director of Digital Projects & Analytics, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, McCarter Theater and the Museum of Chinese in America.
